The DeBlauws offer grass-fed, organic Angus beef for family, friends, and customers. The land and the cattle are certified organic by OEFFA. They offer for purchase split quarters, halves, wholes, and individual cuts. Another option is for customers to purchase live calves or yearlings to finish. Marvin DeBlauw maintains a "closed" herd—only the bulls used for breeding are purchased outside the herd. Cattle born on the farm are raised until they are ready for processing or sold live. The cattle are never confined, and they are fed on an organic, grass-legume pasture, hay, and silage, resulting in a meat product that is heart-healthy with CLA and Omega-3 fatty acids. Cattle are handled with low stress to maintain the health and well-being of the animal while improving the tender quality of the meat product.
The DeBlauw farm is powered by a 10.4-kilowatt photovoltaic system installed by MarLin Solar. The net-metered solar array allows the family to recoup 75-80% of the farm's energy costs, saving about $100 per month. The Nebraska Easement Action Team (NEAT) awarded the DeBlauws a $1000-grant to help with installation costs
