Mohamed Jalloh and his father started Fulani (God to Man) Farms in Lincoln where they grow ethnic African as well as traditional American vegetable varieties. They are having success in growing some tropical crops, such as "Kay-tay lay," "Bitter-boy," and "Crain-Crain." As they continue to experiment with growing tropical crops from their homelands of Cameroon and Nigeria, they hope to help build and sustain Lincoln's burgeoning African community. They are also passionate about protecting the environment and are always looking for ways to minimize their energy use. They drive an electric car and have installed an energy efficient HVAC unit and LED light bulbs in their home.
