Big Red Worms is a pioneer in sustainable management of biodegradable resources. They are dedicated to protecting the environment and improving their community through vermiculture, environmental stewardship, and education. Each year, they convert over 100 tons of food and 400 tons of animal waste into rich living compost with the assistance of Eisena fetida worms (Red Wigglers) for area farmers and gardeners, which results in reduced green-house gas emissions, renewed soil resources, water conservation, and a decreased need for oil based chemicals and fertilizers.
